TRUNKING

Trunking is an efficient way to link and operate several repeaters together. There are several types of systems available on the market such as the European MPT-1327, the LTR (trade name of EF Johnson) and SmarTrunk (trade name of SmarTrunk Systems, Inc.) among others.

Some require special radios to operate, others offer add-on boards to allow the sharing of channels. Each of them satisfy specific needs of applications.
